Drinking station by phalalcrocorax Drinking station by phalalcrocorax
Not the best picture ever, but a WONDERFUL time with this big bird (goshawk). It was the first time I saw him so close (6.5m exactly)

It is a picture done in Hungary (Bence hides to be precise)

Hope you like it

Thanks a lot.

I mean that I was during a photographying trip so I was on a hide created for that purpose. :)

Don't worry, I am sure that with time, you will see a hawk that close ;-)

This is a fantastic photo! I think the personality in the bird's face and eyes is what makes it a captivating shot. 'I'm watching you', he whispers.

Looks like he wants you to get the heck away from his water hole. Beautiful shot, wish I had at least a half-way decent camera.

Wow this is intense! The look on his face is scary. I love how you've captured him, and the angle you took this from.

Between the look on the bird's face and the reflection, I think this is a very, very good shot... even if you say it's not the best. It has a lot of intense feeling to it.

Is it a wild bird?
Looks great. Especially because he looks into the watchers eyes.

You may say that it's not one of your best... I believe it's one of the best bird picture I have even seen! It's all about timing, and patience, I guess.

They really are! I remember the first time I saw goshawks in the wild... it was the adult female and her two offspring. It was beautiful. They are just such intense birds!

You're welcome :D

I love the expression here from the bird...it kind of looks like he's pissed at you for being in the presence of his drinking station. As if saying,"my water only, don't you dare touch it!"
