Travel : lets visit Oleron Island again

Hi

First, I want to thank all of you for checking my pictures ;-) It was fun to make them and it is as fun to share them

I am just so happy because I will travel for 12 days (from the 14th to the 26th).

First part will be for a kite festival : my first demonstration by night, yeah !!! :D This festival is one of the biggest in the world (800 000 visitors last year) so I start to stress :D

The second part will be the nature photography part : I will load my photography traps but I will use them in June. Of course, I will carry my floating hide to make some stilts and avocets pictures. Perhaps I will be lucky enough to make some other species (and I will, I don't worry for that :D )

Of course I will show you the best pictures ;-)

I hope that you will also have the opportunity to travel, or to make some pictures :-)

Dis-moi, si c'est pas trop indiscret, je peux te demander où tu as appris la photo animalière ?... Oui, oui je bave devant tes images ^^' je rêve de t'arriver à la cheville !!! (je ne dis pas ça pour les faire enfler hein). Bref, si jamais tu organisais des sorties photographiques aux alentours de Paris ou vers Vincennes, n'hésite pas à m'en parler ! :)

What I translated is :

Bonjour.

En premier, merci pour ton message.

Pour ce qui est des couleurs, j'avoue que j'apporte une importance toute particulière au fond et à la lumière... presque autant qu'au sujet. En fait, la photo est un tout. Réduire une image à un sujet serait réduire la photographie à de simple documents.

Alors bizarrement oui, je suis plutôt sur le chemin des focales fixes. C'est le cas pour les grands angles (14, 35, 50 et 85) mais aussi pour les focales plus longues (150, 300, 400 et parfois 500).
L'avantage indéniable des focales fixes et de pouvoir jouer sans problème avec la profondeur de champ sans sacrifier la qualité. Et comme j'apporte beaucoup d'importance au fond... ben c'est presque un choix nécessaire.

Si en passant, tu as besoin de 2-3 conseils d'objos, surtout concernant les longues focales, n'hésites pas :D
